Dinosaurs, Climate Change, and Resilience: Author Talk with Evan Jevnikar (Online)

  • Date: 06/25/2026 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Location: Online

What if dinosaurs could help us prepare for the future? In Surviving Climate and Chaos, paleontologist Evan Jevnikar reveals how the prehistoric past holds critical lessons for understanding modern climate change, extinction, and survival.

Join us for this online discussion as we'll discuss how ancient ecosystems reveal patterns in today’s climate change, what dinosaur fossils teach us about survival and extinction, further learning to apply lessons from prehistory to modern environmental challenges.

Evan Jevnikar is a paleontologist and science storyteller whose work centers on dinosaur growth, anatomy, and survival strategies. He earned his MS in Biological Sciences from NC State University, where he studied tyrannosaur tooth morphometrics and growth patterns, after completing a geology degree at the University of Kansas. As “Dinosaur Guy,” Evan connects with a broad audience through social media, translating cutting-edge paleontological findings into accessible content across TikTok, Instagram and Threads.

This program will take place remotely over Zoom. Registration is required.
